This policy describes the personal data Social Boost collects when you use the service available at social-boost.uk, what it is used for, and the rights you have.
1. Data controller
The service is published and operated by Social Boost. For any question about your data, write to [email protected].
2. Data we collect
We only collect the data needed for the service to work.
- Account data: email address, display name, and possibly a phone number. They are used to create your account, identify you and contact you about your orders.
- Order data: the service ordered, the quantity, and the public link you provide (profile or post). This link is passed on to the provider carrying out the order, which is essential for delivery.
- Payment data: the amount, the currency, the date and a transaction reference. We neither receive nor store any bank card number; payments are handled by our payment providers.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and connection timestamps, kept for the security of the service, fraud prevention and incident diagnosis.
3. Signing in with a Google account
If you choose to create your account or sign in with Google, Social Boost receives the following information from Google:
- your email address;
- your display name;
- your profile picture, where one exists;
- the Google identifier associated with your account.
This information is used solely to create your Social Boost account, authenticate you on subsequent sign-ins and send you messages related to your orders. We do not access any other data in your Google account: not your contacts, not your files, not your mail.
This data is neither sold, nor rented, nor passed to third parties for advertising purposes, and is not used for profiling or targeted advertising. You can revoke the access granted to Social Boost at any time from the security settings of your Google account.
4. Purposes and legal bases
- Performance of the contract: creating and managing your account, processing your top-ups, carrying out and tracking your orders, providing support.
- Legal obligation: keeping the accounting records relating to transactions.
- Legitimate interest: securing the service, preventing fraud and abuse, improving the platform.
5. Sharing of data
Your data is shared only with the following categories of recipients:
- Growth service providers: receive the public link and the quantity needed to carry out your order, never your email address or your payment data.
- Payment providers: process balance top-ups and receive the information needed for the transaction.
- Technical providers: hosting, sending transactional emails, protection against attacks.
- Authorities: only upon a valid legal request.
We do not sell any personal data.
6. Hosting and location
Data is hosted on servers located in Germany, within the European Union. Some providers may process data outside the European Union, under the safeguards provided for by the applicable regulation.
7. Retention periods
- Account data: kept for as long as your account is active, then deleted or anonymised after it is closed.
- Transaction data: kept for the period required by the applicable accounting and tax obligations.
- Technical logs: kept for a limited period, for security and diagnosis purposes.
8. Security
Exchanges with the service are encrypted in transit. Passwords are never stored in clear text. Access to production data is restricted and logged. As no system is infallible, we encourage you to use a unique password and to enable the protections available on your account.
9. Your rights
You have a right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction, a right to data portability and a right to object. To exercise them, write to [email protected]. We reply within one month. Proof of identity may be requested where there is doubt about the identity of the person making the request.
10. Cookies
Social Boost uses only the cookies necessary for the service to work, in particular to keep your session open. No advertising or third-party tracking cookie is set without your prior consent.
11. Minors
The service is not intended for people under 16. We do not knowingly collect data concerning them.
12. Changes
This policy may change. Any substantial change will be flagged on this page, with the date at the top updated. Registered users will be informed by email.
